Who am I?

My Name is Mubashir Ahmad. Doing working in the niches of WordPress Web Development, Graphic Designing, Front-end SEO, SMM, Data Entry & running a small YouTube Channel “Mubashir Talks“. I started Freelancing through Guru.com & Upwork.com in Jan-March 2019 by making profiles. I started learning new skills through DigiSkills, giving 2 hours daily to learn from online videos (in my commute to the office & coming back home in the Staff Bus).

I am married and I have to manage my 13-hours of job time. After thinking, I got that 2 hours of golden space to learn Freelancing on DigiSkills through mobile when I daily traveled to the office & came back home. My other staff was wondering and believed that I could do it or I would just lose it. But I was committed.

Life-Changing Time

I received my first ongoing client on GURU.COM in April 2019 about $150 who pays me back $200 as per my working quality & accuracy. Even when I went to receive the money from my bank, the Remittance Manager was Interested in “How a Lower Salary Account Holder Got 3-4 Figures of $$$ from the UK? Can you answer it?” Now, I earned over $2000 on Guru.com.

Very Tough Times

1- COVID-19 was a life-changing time for freelancers and online learners/earners including me. My employer could not pay me on time for about three to four months. It was getting tough to make ends meet. I was living in Lahore on rental premises. Things got worst, I was in debt, even though my debt was almost twice my salary, I was just stock and clueless, to say the least. I could not go to my immediate family to bail me out as my parents & brother were also in the same situation.

The clueless me often wondered, what was next?

We are also expecting a baby boy in December 2020 and I did not have enough money to survive. In Nov 2020 my father-in-law passed away which saddened my wife a lot. Being a strong spouse, she has been my strength and I greatly appreciate her, she embraces the changes and stood firm aside me through thick and thin. Together, we prayed to Allah to pull us out of these tough times.

Our Prayers got answered….

Conclusion

Just one week before my son was born (Dec 12th, 2020), Allah accepts our prayers and tears. I used to bid regularly on Upwork and one fine evening, I saw a reply from a client on Upwork. The job was to Create 1000 Images/Infographics. Initially, the budget was $1 per image. After sending 15 samples, we got fixed the contract by $2 per image. This was also an ongoing project.

Fast forward, from there onwards, I never looked back. God has been very kind to me and my family. Today, I’m Top Rated on Upwork.

My tough story and coming out of despair to the road of prosperity is a piece of evidence that How Allah accepts your prayers and How much can Allah give you back his fruitful Rizq-e-Halal! A wise person said:

“All is in your hands, if you want to grow up yourself then embrace the change, update timely as your mobile apps are updated. Live like a healthy heartbeat wave and don’t be flat within your comfort zone. Otherwise, you’re just dead!” ~Mubashir Ahamd

Here’s my small advice to everyone reading my story and still struggling.

My friend, don’t just stay in your comfort zone. Hustle, move and make things happen to see a clear picture of life
