I’m Mujahid Farooq. I’m from Sargodha. My age is 23 and I just graduated this year(2021) from the University of Sargodha in Computer Science. I’m a top-rated freelancer at Upwork and reaching level 2 seller at Fiverr in the upcoming month. I’m running 2 software companies in Sargodha & Islamabad. My company in Softileo.
Almost 20 people are working in my both offices including interns. I’m earning 3500$+ per month for the last few months and this all happened because of Freelancing and alhamdulillah I learned everything on my own behalf.
How it Started
After completing my intermediate in 2017, I learned a web development course from a local Institute. In my first semester of graduation, I joined a software house. They used my sincerity to build an academy. I didn’t learn any specific skills regarding web development and I did work there for 9 months (non-paid). When I demanded a salary they said you sit free here while I was working for them for free and I was generating good profit for the academy. I was totally broken that day. I decided that I will never ever do any job again since my sincerity wasn’t appreciated and it was misused.
I started learning my skills and I learned everything on my own in 2018. I picked up my first freelance project from the Facebook group Pakistan Freelancers. It was worth 6000 Pkr. After that my journey started and I got my first project of 50$ from Upwork. Alhamdulillah, I purchased a table chair in December 2018 and made a workspace of mine at home. I used to do work myself at the home as well I started doing outsourcing. I even got a project of 3000$ at that time as well. I worked with Korean and USA clients. Just to clarify, I was doing everything with my studies.
In the year 2019, I did a huge effort. My mom died in July 2019. I felt and suffered from depression as well. But I was consistent. I was doing efforts. I was working on Upwork as well as on Fiverr. I started my own software company in 2019, December from a Shop of 9ft*14ft. In 2020, September alhamdulillah.
I made my new office in Hall of 18ft*72ft. Moreover, I trained over 35 interns in the year 2020. In covid, I was available full-time to work and I did good growth. In 2021, September. Alhamdulillah, now I started a new branch in Islamabad.
I did put in a lot of effort and now the results are being fetched. I worked 16 hours a day with my studies.
My Mission
I want to hire 1 lac people of Pakistan for my company. I’ll start more businesses inshaAllah in the future. I want to bring billions of dollars from foreign countries to Pakistan inshaAllah.
I believe in Allah and trust him more than me. Where there is a will there is a way.
