My name is Sajid Khalil, and I belong to Bannu, a small district near Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. I come from a place where opportunities are limited and resources are few. But today, I am running my own web design agency, working with international clients, and proving that where you start does not decide where you finish.
I graduated as a software engineer from Bannu University of Science and Technology. I studied with limited resources, but I always had a strong belief that knowledge and hard work could take me somewhere bigger than my circumstances.
My freelancing journey began in 2021. I had heard that people were earning online, and I wanted to learn the right way. So I enrolled in a short online course with Hamza Jadoon, where I learned the basics of Fiverr, WordPress, and SEO. After completing the course, I created my Fiverr account and started offering my services.
One month later, I received my first order. It was worth only five dollars. To some people, five dollars may seem like nothing. But for me, it was proof that this path was real. It was the first sign that someone in the world was willing to pay for my skills.
From there, I kept going. But my journey was far from smooth.
It took me four years to become Top Rated on both Fiverr and Upwork. Four years of ups and downs. I was demoted many times. Every time I lost my rating, it felt like starting over. But every time, I came back, worked harder, and climbed again. I learned that being demoted was not the end. Giving up would have been the end. So I never gave up.
My biggest struggle was not the work itself. It was my environment. In Bannu, the internet is often very slow. Electricity is even harder. We get one hour of power, then one hour without it, and even during that one hour the supply is unstable. Because of this, there were times I lost important clients and valuable opportunities. It was painful. But I refused to let my location defeat my dream. I kept showing up, kept delivering, and kept moving forward. Alhamdulillah, I am still going strong today.
In June 2024, I took a major step and founded my own company, Elevatrix Solutions LLC. What started as one freelancer working through power cuts has now grown into a full agency. Today I have a remote team of ten talented people from Abbottabad, Islamabad, and Kohat, all working together to serve our clients with quality and dedication.
We mainly work with clients in the United States, along with clients from other countries around the world. One of the proudest moments of my journey came when we started working with Moto America, a major name in motorcycle racing. We are completely redesigning their website and managing their SEO. For someone who started with a five-dollar order from a small district in KPK, working with a company of that level still feels unreal. It is the biggest milestone in my freelancing journey so far.
When I look back, I see a journey full of slow internet, power cuts, demotions, and disappointments. But I also see consistency, patience, and a refusal to quit. That is what made the difference.
To everyone reading this, especially those from small towns and districts like mine, I want to leave you with one message. No matter where you are or what you do, if you have a dream and a goal, work for it and get it. Nothing is impossible. Never give up.
