My name is Muhammad Usman, and I have one brother and three sisters. I was born in Jhang. I completed my software engineering degree from Faisalabad Agriculture University between 2014 and 2018.
Challenges Faced:
Many people in my circle were doing online work, but they did not help me. Despite multiple requests for assistance, they ignored me, possibly due to their reluctance to see me succeed alongside them. Disheartened by this, I started a job in Lahore as a graphic designer. Although I wasn’t particularly passionate about this career choice, I needed employment urgently. I applied to numerous places, attended interviews at 20 locations, and was fortunate to be selected at one. Initially, I worked for three months without pay and later began receiving a monthly salary of 10,000 PKR. However, this amount proved insufficient as 8000 PKR went towards hostel rent, leaving only 2000 PKR for my weekly travel expenses to visit my family. During this time, I contemplated switching jobs or venturing into freelancing, although I lacked knowledge on how to start the latter. Ultimately, after seven months, I resigned from my job, returned to my hostel, and dedicated myself to learning through YouTube tutorials day and night.
Success on Fiverr:
Upon creating my Fiverr account, I surprisingly received my first order within 48 hours. Delighted by this, I completed the task within 24 hours. Subsequently, I decided to return home and pursue freelancing from there. During this period, I got engaged, and two months later, I got married, all while focusing on building my freelancing career. Through hard work and dedication, I earned over 200k in four years.
Overcoming Adversity:
My journey wasn’t without challenges. My Fiverr profile was disabled four times during these four years. Despite these setbacks, I persisted and successfully recovered my profile each time. Additionally, I faced a severe setback when my account was hacked, resulting in the loss of $3300 and the disabling of my profile. Despite initial fear and despair, I persevered and managed to recover both my account and the lost funds after a month of continuous support ticket submissions. Furthermore, Fiverr’s policy update led to my account being flagged, causing further disappointment and fear. However, I persisted in contacting Fiverr’s customer support, and after numerous attempts, my account was restored, and the flag removed. Despite encountering cancellations totaling $30k due to client disputes, I remained patient and relied on my faith in Allah, ultimately receiving blessings beyond my expectations.
Relocation:
Motivated by my successes, I decided to relocate to Islamabad. There, I purchased property and acquired a car, an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and a MacBook M3 Pro, further solidifying my achievements.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, I’ve learned that hard work and delivering quality work are paramount to success. Through my journey, I’ve also realized the importance of helping others and sharing knowledge. I firmly believe that with dedication and perseverance, nothing can hinder one’s progress. I continue to distribute my knowledge and experiences to inspire and assist others, grateful for the blessings and opportunities Allah has bestowed upon me.
