Hello, I am NABEEL AMEEN. I belong to the small city of KPK Haripur. When I was a kid, I lost one of my legs because of POLIO but, I didn’t make this my weakness and kept learning. I am a self-taught Graphic Designer and provide Graphic Designing and Resume writing services on the Freelancing website (Fiverr, Upwork). I completed my Bachelor in Commerce but, my interest was in the Computer field. Today I want to share my successful freelancing journey.
MY FIRST JOB:
Back in 2011, after Graduation, I decide to start my professional life and start hunting for a job. At first, no one was willing to hire me because I was a fresh graduate and did not have job experience. After a lot of struggle, I got a job in the private sector. My 1st salary was only Rs 4000. I was not happy with my salary package but, I also want to support my family so, I decided to continue this job.
THE BEGINNING:
During School time, I was good at painting. I drew different characters, nature scenery when I got some free time and, this hobby helped me a lot in my Graphics Designing Career. In 10th standard (2007), I bought my 1st computer.
I played different games and spent most of my time on social media but soon, I realized the internet world is much bigger than all these things. I started exploring and found a Nigerian Language Graphic Related Youtube channel. I didn’t understand the language than what I did. I download all the videos and, while practicing, I play the video in slow motion and repeat the exact steps. After some days, I was much familiar with tools and understand how they work.
HOW DID I START FREELANCING?
I made Fiverr account in 2017 but at that time I didn’t know much about Fiverr or how’s it works and I left the account. I remember the day when I found my 1st UK client on Facebook. He hired me for his project and, I was much happy and I design a logo and banners for him. The client was satisfied with my work and asked me to send all source files. But what he did, he didn’t pay me for my work and just blocked me. I was disappointed because this was my 1st project but, I did not leave hope and kept struggling.
A NEW CHAPTER:
One day I met a Man (HERO) named Ahmad Zuhaib Somroo on Facebook. I worked with him as a Graphic Designer for 3 to 4 months. He gave me regular work and I remember I delivered 10+ orders a day. One day I asked him from where he got all these orders he was kind enough and briefly explained about Fiverr. He completely guides me step by step about Fiverr, how to make GIG’s and How to attract clients and get orders.
I reactive my Fiverr account on Aug. 2019 (that I had established In 2017) and made new Gigs and sent multiple buyer requests. After sending 100+ buyer requests, finally one day I get a response from a client and get my 1st $5 order, and this is how I started my never-ending freelancing journey. My approach on Fiverr is simple, deliver great work but at a considerable amount. Over the last 2 years, I have delivered 900+ projects maintaining a 5-star rating (650+ live reviews).
CONCLUSION:
Always try to learn new skills and Be loyal to your work and, If you are a hard worker and you can deliver quality work, then nothing can stop you.
Never ever give up in life. You will create an impact.
