“A journey of a Thousand Miles begins with the first step”
Being a daughter in a family who wants their girl to only excel in academics then marriage and have kids… Matlab wohi typical Mindset ( Job, skill learning, business Kuch na Karu). But she was above average student with a different mindset wants to achieve something on her own, and wants to be the elder son of her family and Alhamdulilah she achieved so much after marriage. Now her family is super proud of her and extremely happy with the achievements she is getting in her freelancing field Alhamdulillah!
Assalam o Alaikum,
This is Umaima Ajmal a housewife and mother of 2. So, let me take you all to a flashback of my life. My Father had a dream to see me as Hafiza-e-Quran and a doctor. By the grace of Allah, I did my Hifz but unfortunately couldn’t get admission to MBBS due to the low percentage.
Then family insisted to do BBA, whereas I want to go into any medical field or English literature because I have no interest in Accounting. Long story short mujhy BBA hi Karna para because ‘fala ki beti bhi karrae hai impression acha parta hai’. During BBA, wanted to earn something on my own, and searched for many online jobs but due to no help from anyone all goes in vain. Decided to open a tuition center in my home but the family was not in favor, saying k Kya neighbors sy paisy logi ab??
A NEW PHASE OF LIFE…
After getting married found a like-minded partner who dared to do something apart from a 9-5 job. I shifted to Dubai where my husband was doing a job and started an online FB page ‘Meet the Needs’ ( in which I did import-export of cosmetics, vitamins, and Kurtis). It was good for a time being and learned a lot about the online world. Just before covid husband introduced me to the Amazon field.
CHANGE OF MINDSET…
Socha dekh laity hain yeh field tou phr hogai enroll in VA/Amazon Consultant course of 3 months from leading e-learning platform of Pakistan. After completion, due to my networking and hard work 4 to 5 clients approached me for the services. Meanwhile, an institute where I completed my training offered me a job. By looking at all opportunities I decided to shift back to Pakistan along with my children. (Because was not able to continue in Dubai as full-day engaged with toddlers only).
Many were against it saying ‘Dubai kon chor kar wapis aata hai’, ‘ Dobara sochlo’ but I and my husband made up our minds to just shifted from traditional 9 to 5 life. The husband continued with his job. It was a tough and bold decision as life was better in Dubai, but my year alone in Karachi made me more realistic, strong, and professional. I did a job for 1 year, got several promotions, and became a trainer. Evaluated 50k plus products, hunted more than 126 products for office and clients.

APPRECIATE YOUNG ONES FOR THEIR TALENT…
My daughter is very talkative, that’s why I thought to involve her in Vlogging since she is 3yo. She has a passion for creating content. I also handle her YouTube (Barraa Talkies) and the Instagram page (Bareera Anees).
Thank You for reading my story, hoping you find it helpful. Good luck with your journey.
